All He Wants Is The Head Of The Class

In the aftermath of a nasty breakup, Khale has vowed off men – or any relationship, for that matter – for good. Having accepted a teaching job at the local university, he is ready to focus on bigger things and take on life as a single man.

Khale’s friends, on the other hand, think the handsome bachelor should re-evaluate his decision. A night of drunken karaoke lands him at the side of Tom, a timid punk-type who has just come out to his parents and is willing to try something new. Come Monday, however, both find that this pre-semester rendezvous was between teacher and student.

The shy first-timer makes Khale his tutor, asking him to guide him through his favorite positions. But does the careful teacher really have the upper hand? Something deeper hides beneath his fresh-faced student, something he can’t quite pin. What he does know, however, is that the semester is about to become a lot more interesting.

This Romance Short Story Was Formerly Titled Head Of The Class

Current understandings of ageing and diversity are impoverished in three main ways. Firstly, with regards to thinking about what inequalities operate in later life there has been an excessive preoccupation with economic resources. On the other hand, less attention has been paid to cultural norms and values, other resources, wider social processes, political participation and community engagement. Secondly, in terms of thinking about the ‘who’ of inequality, this has so far been limited to a very narrow range of minority populations. Finally, when considering the ‘how’ of inequality, social gerontology’s theoretical analyses remain under-developed. The overall effect of these issues is that social gerontology remains deeply embedded in normative assumptions which serve to exclude a wide range of older people.

Ageing, Diversity and Equality aims to challenge and provoke the above described normativity and offer an alternative approach which highlights the heterogeneity and diversity of ageing, associated inequalities and their intersections.

The Open Access version of this book, available at https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/9781351851329, has been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 licence.

The Gay Version of Breaking Bad! - Buzzfeed

Stress, Experimentation, Indugence

Everyone is into Chemsex - everyone wants to get ‘High and Horny’ and PnP is a normal weekend pastime. At least that's what it seems when you log onto one of the many gay apps now available, And if it’s not your bag, be prepared to be bullied, ridiculed, scorned and demeaned, such is the attitude towards the few chemsex virgins still left. Chemsex, for the uninitiated, refers to sex parties lasting three or more days, fuelled by recreational drugs such as crystal Methamphetamine or Gamma-Butylactose (GBL), where up to 100 men will gather for indiscriminate sex, in fact, gay middle-class men of almost any professional background are spurning relationships to inject, or ‘slam’ class A narcotics every weekend all over the world, turning to chems as a substitute for love.

Chasing the Dragon is a brutally honest portrayal of this phenomenon, and demonstrates how quickly seemingly successful, civilised men get sucked into a downward vortex, where judgement becomes impaired, and the bizarre becomes the new norm, with disastrous consequences.

What does the Bible really say about homosexuality?

Is it a sin to be gay or to be in a same-sex relationship?

Many people struggle with reconciling religion and homosexuality. You might have a gay friend or family member, or be gay yourself, and not know what God would say about your sexuality. You might have been told that being gay is a terrible sin, and some verses from the Bible might even have been used to justify this claim.

Find out which passages are said to refer to being gay and gay relationships

Being raised in Christian households, we were often told that the Bible condemns homosexuality. We struggled with these issues ourselves for a long time, and eventually decided to research the Bible ourselves and find out exactly what it says about homosexuality. All of the passages that are often used against homosexuality in the Bible are discussed in this book.

Find ways to reconcile being gay and Christian

This short book is packed with information about how Biblical scholars and religious leaders have reconciled homosexuality and religion, including:
- What Jesus had to say about homosexuality
- Same-sex relationships in the Bible
- How many churches are changing their stances and teachings about homosexuality

About the authors

Grant Andrews is currently completing his PhD at the University of the Western Cape, with a focus on fatherhood and masculinities. He lectures in the English Department and has written extensively on self-actualization and self-exploration.
Malan van der Walt is a student program coordinator at the University of Stellenbosch, working with young lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in order to promote HIV prevention and to advocate for equality. He is continuing his postgraduate studies in psychology with a focus on gender and sexuality. He conducts counselling sessions and runs support groups with young gay people.

If you need a fresh perspective on your faith and sexuality, this book is for you.

In recent years transgender has emerged as a subject of increasing social and cultural interest. This volume offers vivid accounts of the diversity of living transgender in today's world. The first section, "Emerging Identities," maps the ways in which social, cultural, legal and medical developments shape new identities on both an individual and collective level. Rather than simply reflecting social change, these shifts work to actively construct contemporary identities. The second section, "Trans Governance," examines how law and social policy have responded to contemporary gender shifts. The third section, "Transforming Identity," explores gender and sexual identity practices within cultural and subcultural spaces. The final section, "Transforming Theory?", offers a theoretical reflection on the increasing visibility of trans people in today’s society and traces the challenges and the contributions transgender theory has brought to gender theory, queer theory and sociological approaches to identity and citizenship. Featuring contributions from throughout the world, this volume represents the cutting-edge scholarship in transgender studies and will be of interest to scholars and students interested in gender, sexuality, and sociology.

This a collection of letters and pictures from my time in Marine Corps Boot Camp and is an ancillary piece to the best-selling memoir, The Pink Marine -- which is a true story about Marine Corps Boot Camp.

The Pink Marine is the story—full of hilarity and heartbreak—of how a teenage boy who struggles with self-acceptance and doesn’t fit the traditional definition of manliness finds acceptance and self-worth in Marine Corps boot camp.

"When Greg Cope White’s best friend tells him he is spending his summer in Marine Corps boot camp, all Greg hears is “summer” and “camp.”

Despite dire warnings from his friend, Greg vows to join him in recruit training. He is eighteen, underweight, he’s never run a mile—and he is gay.

It’s before Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the Supreme Court marriage equality ruling, and with no LGBT rights in place in most states, and the Marines having a very definite expulsion policy in place for gay people when it comes to military personnel, will Greg even survive?"

"A heartening coming-of-age story." - Kirkus Reviews

"Hilarious & insightful" - Jane Lynch

"A great story, beautifully told." - Davide Hyde-Pierce

"Intriguing & honest." - Norman Lear

One of the rare books to put gay military service in a positive light, I believe we need to tell boot camp stories as part of our mach to LGBT equality. I do so in great detail and with humor.

The Pink Marine is being developed into a TV show as well. I don't get to play myself at 18. The producers told me there's not enough special effects for that.

Within a society that long considered "lesbian motherhood" a contradiction in terms, what were the experiences of lesbian mothers at the end of the twentieth century? In this illuminating book, lesbian mothers tell their stories of how they became mothers; how they see their relationships with their children, relatives, lovers, and friends and with their children’s fathers and sperm donors; how they manage child-care arrangements and financial difficulties; and how they deal with threats to custody. Ellen Lewin’s unprecedented research on lesbian mothers in the San Francisco area captured a vivid portrait of the moment before gay and lesbian parenting moved into the mainstream of U.S. culture. Drawing on interviews with 135 women, Lewin provided her readers with a new understanding of the attitudes of individual women, the choices they made, and the texture of their daily lives.
