The Smritis, Dharma Shaastras, Nibandh and Kalpa Shaastra are the scriptures / Texts which laid down the Codes, Edicts and Ethics for the Individual, Society, Rulers / Kings for the Righteous way of life, including Jurisprudence and Penal code.
Smritis mean ‘The Remembered Texts’ of Codes, Edicts and Ethics for the Individual, Society, Rulers / Kings for Righteous way of life, including Jurisprudence and Penal code.
The Smritis are the expansion of ‘Shrutis’ (literally meaning ‘what is heard’ i.e. Vedas) in form of codes of laws and rules for conducting the whole life in all the matters for the preservation and prospering the Sanaatan Dharma (presently called Hinduism).
In this Mini Book, I have shown the outline of Manu Smriti. Some important subjects have been detailed so that readers really know the depth of the systems, Royalty, Judiciary, Social norms among others.
Manu Smriti was applicable during Satya Yuga but it is quoted currenty. The current period
(KaliYuga) is governed by Paraashar Smriti.
The purpose is served by providing a readymade guide map for a righteous living in all aspects of life to every one, men, women, house holder, Sanyassi, Kings and in every role (son, daughter, husband, wife, father, mother etc).

Nearly four decades ago, an intense series of spiritual visions led one of India's top nuclear physicists, until then a religious skeptic and man of science, to walk away from his prestigious post at the heart of the country's missile-defense complex. Retreating into the remote jungles of eastern India, he discovered the remains of a centuries-old Tantric Mother Goddess shrine and embarked on a life-altering quest to revive and expand it – eventually attracting tens of thousands of followers from across India and around the globe. Part biography and part spiritual guidebook, this book chronicles the astonishing, inspiring – and yet deeply human – life of Dr. Nishtala Prahlada Sastry (later best known as Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati, or simply "Guruji"); his triumphs and disappointments, public successes, and personal crises. In addition to Amritananda's life story, the book also offers a generous selection from his writings, lectures, ritual guides and poetry – a treasure trove for those who wish to significantly deepen their spiritual practice while remaining fully engaged with the world.
