Everyone wants to escape their boring, stagnant lives full of inertia and regret. But so few people actually have the bravery to run – run away from everything and selflessly seek out personal fulfillment on the other side of the world where they don’t understand anything and won’t be expected to. The world is full of cowards. Tim Anderson was pushing thirty and working a string of dead-end jobs when he made the spontaneous decision to pack his bags and move to Japan. It was a gutsy move, especially for a tall, white, gay Southerner who didn’t speak a lick of Japanese. But his life desperately needed a shot of adrenaline, and what better way to get one than to leave behind his boyfriend, his cat, and his Siouxsie and the Banshees box set to move to “a tiny, overcrowded island heaving with clever, sensibly proportioned people who make him look fat”? In Tokyo, Tim became a “gaijin,” an outsider whose stumbling progression through Japanese culture is minutely chronicled in these sixteen hilarious stories. Despite the steep learning curve and the seemingly constant humiliation, the gaijin from North Carolina gradually begins to find his way. Whether playing drums on the fly in an otherwise all-Japanese noise band or attempting to keep his English classroom clean when it’s invaded by an older female student with a dirty mind, Tim comes to realize that living a meaningful life is about expecting the unexpected...right when he least expects it.

Benjamin Law considers himself pretty lucky to live in Australia: he can hold his boyfriend's hand in public and lobby his politicians to recognize same-sex marriage. But as the child of immigrants, he's also curious about how different life might have been had he grown up in Asia. So he sets off to meet his fellow Gaysians. Law takes his investigative duties seriously, going nude where required in Balinese sex resorts, sitting backstage for hours with Thai ladyboy beauty contestants, and trying Indian yoga classes designed to cure his homosexuality. The characters he meets — from Tokyo's celebrity drag queens to HIV-positive Burmese sex workers and Malaysian ex-gay Christian fundamentalists to Chinese gays and lesbians who marry each other to please their parents — all teach him something new about being queer in Asia. At once entertaining and moving, Gaysia is a wild ride and a fascinating quest by a leading Australian writer.

Five deliciously naughty male on male romance novellas for a red-hot experience that's sure to leave you breathless!

Includes the entire five-book First Time Bareback Cowboys series for less than half the price.

Innocence Sold
Cole Berry has been an obedient pastor's son all his life—but now, all that's about to change. Instead of asking for donations for church repairs at the town fair, Cole intends to make an entirely different announcement. He's gay—and he'll be auctioning off his virginity to the highest bidder. The entire town is in the crowd, and most of them are shocked… but some are thinking of bidding. Among them is local loner cowboy Beckett Walsh, whose divorce alienated him from the community a couple of years back. Cole is beautiful, sure enough, but is this really what either of them wants?

Accidental Attraction
Eli Lapp has fallen deep into an inescapable abyss—his parents are dead, leaving him to care for his two young siblings and ailing grandfather, the Amish settlement where he lives has outcast him for being on the wrong side of a pregnancy scandal and he’s a hair’s breadth away from losing the very roof over his head. Enter Arden Hersch, an arrogant Hollywood A-lister whose hunger for an Oscar might be the only thing outweighing his hunger for horny young twinks. Immediately at odds the pair struggle to connect beyond surface pleasantries; but where Eli may be uniquely equipped to help Arden gain a sense of humility, Arden just might be able to help Eli discover a long-buried truth about himself that’s been begging to be unearthed his entire life.

Hearts Over Blood
Wyatt Kent would give anything to leave the small, podunk town of Spruce Falls. But after a horrific car crash leaves his older brother Shane without his legs, Wyatt can’t bring himself to make the escape. And the reappearance of Shane’s gorgeous former best friend Knox Porter—the rodeo star that left Shane in the dust after his accident—doesn’t help. Wyatt shared a passionate kiss with Knox before he joined the circuit and he wonders if he can stay away from the sexy bull rider now that he’s returned. Wyatt’s attempts at mending the pair’s friendship prove disastrous, and when he finally learns the truth about the night of the accident, Wyatt is forced to make an impossible decision that may end up placing his brother’s very life on the line.

Unexpected Threeway
Kyle Brenner has a secret, but he's not the only one in Spruce Falls with something to hide. And once he’s back on the ranch for summer break with his best friends Jackson and Paul—who both look hotter than ever—the secrets each one has been hiding get harder and harder to keep under wraps. One thing’s for sure: this summer won’t be like the ones they shared as children.

Seduced by the Raunchy Cowboy
Joey Wheeler is fresh out of luck. Fired from the local newspaper, no prospects to speak of and a girlfriend hounding him for a marriage proposal—despite her previous infidelity—Joey should be thrilled at landing a job as billionaire rancher Austin Birch’s assistant; a nepotistic acquisition through Joey’s best friend, and Austin’s fiancé, Crystal. But there’s a lot more to Austin than meets the eye, and Joey soon finds out that Austin’s reason for hiring him has a lot less to do with his administrative abilities than it does with his desire to discover Joey’s more hidden talents. And the more Joey starts to realize that Austin’s impending marriage to Crystal isn’t quite what it seems, the more he feels compelled to reveal a deeply buried secret of his own.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This books contains mature language and explicit content, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age.

A man torn, between duty and desire.

Wyatt Kent would give anything to leave the small, podunk town of Spruce Falls. But after a horrific car crash leaves his older brother Shane without his legs, Wyatt can’t bring himself to make the escape, seemingly destined to watch his brother’s emotional health deteriorate day after day, while letting his own dreams of a bright future slowly slip from his reach. And the reappearance of Shane’s gorgeous former best friend Knox Porter doesn’t help.

Knox had been with Shane the night of the accident, and while both young men had dreamed of entering the national rodeo circuit, it was Knox who had escaped unharmed and went on to become a national star. Shane’s resentment toward Knox since the accident is fierce, and while Wyatt is his brother’s staunchest advocate, the passionate kiss he shared with Knox before he joined the circuit has him wondering if he can stay away from the sexy bull rider now that he’s returned.

Wyatt’s attempts at mending the pair’s friendship prove disastrous, and when he finally learns the truth about the night of the accident, Wyatt is forced to make an impossible decision that may end up placing his brother’s very life on the line.

The situation is dire, and Wyatt’s in it up to his elbows. He only hopes he can repair the damage before he breaks his brother’s heart, or loses his own.

Hearts Over Blood is another red-hot instalment in the First Time Bareback Cowboys series, which can be read and enjoyed in any order.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This books contains mature language and explicit content, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age.

Tight ends, out on the field...

Carter Williamson can’t stand sports. Ultra-dedicated to his future in political science, he’s got no time for obnoxious fans, bimbo groupies or egomaniacal players.

But opinions can change, and after being dragged to an NFL game by his Physical Therapist brother, Carter can’t help but admit that there’s something special about star player Isaiah Mitchell—namely that his pants feel a lot tighter whenever he gets within ten feet of Isaiah’s tall, well-muscled body.

The attraction seems mutual, but how can the pair get a fair play with Isaiah being the poster-boy within a notoriously homophobic sport? Carter isn’t willing to live life in secret forever, but can Isaiah risk his entire future on a hot college kid he’s only just met?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This books contains mature language and explicit content, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age.

Experience real Saigon: My Saigon 2017

Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) offers bustling streets, amazing walks, too-hip-for-you cafes, rocking music clubs, luxurious salons, explosively delicious restaurants, and indoor cat zoos. Saigon is Vietnam. It’s young, practical, crowded, and a little bit brash.

Unfortunately, most visitors to Saigon are limited to the same boring “attractions”: unimpressive buildings, overpriced markets, and War propaganda.

Saigon has so much more to offer, but it’s largely undocumented in English-language travel guides.

My Saigon documents what knowledgeable Saigonese people know: the most amazing experiences, the cultural backstories, the practical go-to tips, the best coffee, the best food (far beyond pho), the best hangouts, the coolest stuff, and hipsters, hipsters everywhere.

Big-picture layout of the city.

Basic history your tour guides aren't allowed to tell you.

Don't stay in the backpacker cesspool, but don't overpay for a hotel.

Get up and running with cheap mobile data in minutes, without visiting any phone stores.

Pho isn't really a big thing in Saigon: it's a northern Vietnamese food. I'm sorry. But I'll show you the best pho in Saigon anyway.

Delicious, authentic, moderately priced restaurants where my friends and I eat -- and that you won't find on Tripadvisor.

Coffee. Did someone say coffee? I sure like coffee. Coffee. Yes. More coffee. Please. I'll tell you where.

Hang out where Vietnamese people hang out, eat street snacks, listen to live music, whatever.

Make cool friends, date guys or girls, whether you're a guy or a girl.

Silly Saigonese slang, maybe to use with your new Vietnamese girlfriend or boyfriend.

The lowdown on how Saigon's mafia runs the streets and who the various street characters are.

Would you wear a Dixie hat at a NAACP meeting? Then don't wear a hammer-and-sickle t-shirt in Saigon.

Don't give money to beggars and street kids, because they're all owned by the mafia.

Saigon taxis are convenient and trouble-free, if you know the simple trick to avoid scams -- but Uber and Grab are even better!

My Saigon includes tutorials on basic Vietnamese language, history (that Vietnamese tour guides are forbidden from mentioning), Saigon street characters, urban navigation and transportation, internet and phones, money and prices, avoiding scams, making friends, and meeting love interests.

Saigon is a wealth of sights, sounds, smells, and experiences. My Saigon is a guide, a love confessional, an instruction manual, and an ode to the city.

Da Nang and Hoi An: the complete travel guide, from a local expert
Da Nang is Vietnam's up-and-coming city. It offers urban excitement, Vietnamese culture largely unaffected by tourism, and stunning natural beauty. But Da Nang remains largely unknown and poorly documented, even in Vietnamese-language guides.

This is the local's guide to Da Nang and Hoi An that includes a knowledgeable Vietnamese person's take on the best to see, do, and yes, eat and drink in Da Nang and Hoi An.

Hang out where the locals hang out, make friends and see the real side of Vietnam, stay at nice hotels for under $20 a night, know what's overpriced, and most importantly, have an amazing time in Da Nang and Hoi An.

Now an Amazon Best Selling Book

A sensuous, beautifully crafted tale with broad appeal.

A gay ‘Under the Tuscan Sun.’

A ‘Rice Queen’s Bible.’

Please visit Richard Vohl’s YouTube Channel to view the Bangkok Boy Bar trailer.

I have just completed my latest work – a nonfiction gay romance travel book. This is a deeply personal story, and I am glad to share it with you. I spent the better part of the past two years researching and writing the book to tell the account of my first trip to Thailand and how it has changed my life.

Two introductory chapters provide a narrative background of my formative years growing up in the Midwest of the United States, and beginning my adult life in Los Angeles. My disillusionment with the gay culture of L.A. and West Hollywood led me to search for a much different path.

Many of the pivotal scenes in Thailand take place in the infamous gay boy bars in the Silom District of Bangkok, and the Sunee Plaza Neighborhood of Pattaya. I encounter a string of seductive Thai young men, their youthful splendor as alluring as sirens. The numerous love scenes are poetic in nature (with notable exceptions). There are over 100 pictures embedded within the story, most of which were taken by me during the actual events.

The book is not a travel guide per se, yet seamlessly incorporated within the story are details about Thai culture, language and cuisine, gay resorts, neighborhoods and boy bars... and how not to fall out of a tuk tuk as its racing through the streets of Bangkok.

The book completes with the final chapter of my return to the U.S. after a life-threatening event in Thailand. We witness the repercussions of how my awakening begins to change my life and the loved ones around me in both subtle and profound ways.

Because this is a contemporary true story and gay travel book, I hope it is one to which many of you can relate, and if you wish, embark on a similar venture of your own.

So take my hand, let’s blow into this colored spinwheel, and lift off together to wherever it sends us …
