Looking for a hilarious children’s book that is sure to have your young readers begging for the next chapter? Fans say this family-centered series has kids literally rolling on the floor laughing. Whether they’re just beginning chapter books or reading at an intermediate level, the short chapters are the perfect length for a bedtime story. I have to warn you though, the cliffhangers are popular and have been known to extend bedtime on occasion. Give it a try and I’m confident you’ll soon find the Max E. James series at the top of your child’s reading list.

Max E. James can hardly wait for a fun-filled day at the beach with his big brother Cody. The boys will build sand castles, trap crabs, and maybe even bodyboard. But wait—what about that time last summer when Max was bodyboarding, and got totally body-slammed?! Does he even want to chance another face-crushing, sand-in-his-teeth disaster, just for riding a wave?

You never outgrow your love for horses.

Last junior year. As the chance to qualify for the equitation finals seems increasingly more elusive at Bittersweet Farm, will the new trainer be the catalyst for success?

Lockie Malone finds that each sister is difficult in her own way and hurting for her own reasons. Talia can’t place over her sister and has been forcing herself to try. Greer is desperate for approval she can’t get.

With problems of his own, Lockie is committed to the job he was hired to do, but quickly realizes that teaching the young women how to ride isn’t nearly as important as teaching them how to live.

With mature themes, loving but often tumultuous relationships and a deep respect for horses, this series is not the pony mad books of your childhood. Read it now and see if you'd like to live at Bittersweet Farm like so many other readers.

Before he fought to save the United States, before he battled drones in the sky, before he fought terrorists on trains, helicopters, dirt bikes, horseback, or sinking cruise ships...he went to sports camp.

Kirkus Reviews declares it "always entertaining." Foreword Clarion Reviews calls it "just basic fun," and Publishers Weekly describes it as a "high-octane thrill fest." Be the first of your friends to discover the first adventure of the up-and-coming, award-winning, action-packed Greyson Gray Series that follows our young, admirable hero who dares to do what is right, no matter the costs.

Sports Camp has everything twelve-year-old Greyson Gray needs to distract him from his father's mysterious disappearance - intense athletic competition, weird friends, and a pretty girl.

But when Greyson stumbles upon a terrorist's sinister plot brewing in the observatory, a place already haunted by a chilling camp legend, he suddenly toils with two dueling worlds - one of lurking danger and mystery, the other of competition and awkward romance. Spurred on by his father's words to do what's good no matter the danger, Greyson and his faithful friends must mount a daring and coordinated heist on the observatory in order to save thousands of lives.

Threaded with witty, sarcastic humor and gritty suspense, Camp Legend puts you in Greyson's shoes not only as he battles evil in thrilling chases, but also as he deals with his awkward first crush, menacing bullies, and the loss of his father. Parents will especially love Greyson's moral compass - his daring drive to do what is right even when it's hard. Many say this is a boy book, especially for boys ages 9-12 (preteen). While it's true that boys who enjoy spy or detective books with plenty of action and adventure, a dash of mystery and a heaping of humor will love this book, girls have proven to love it, too! They love the feisty and capable Sydney, the budding romance, and the horse chases along with everything else the boys like! Even adults enjoy the nostalgia, witty humor, and the light-hearted action.

Prepare to laugh out loud and fall in love with the characters as the Greyson Gray Series begins with a bang.
